The Chinese have flooded the market with a variety of Wireless Air Mouse controllers for a PC, often used for purposes such as Media Center, MythTV, and Kodi. With all of this variety one finds that there is actually very little variety other than in color and shape. The majority of these are a flip over type with basic controls on top and a QWERTY keyboard on the bottom. A cheap inadequate sensor is used to determine which orientation the remote is in so that either the QWERTY keyboard is active, or the basic multimedia controls. The sensor is pure garbage and the remote constantly fails to property sense orientation. Consequently, while being held or handled the remote sends unwanted keypress activity to the receiving computer causing havoc in software function and control.

Tip: Never buy ANY of these low cost Chinese made Wireless Air Mouse remotes with the QWERTY keyboard on the bottom side. Stop buying them!!!! They are terrible. The Chinese will keep making them if you keep buying them. They are junk. Look for an alternative, such as a Wireless Air Mouse with a good set of multimedia controls on top and NOTHING on the bottom. Also, avoid models that use the lithium coin battery, they are more costly to maintain than models that use AAA size batteries since the lithium coin battery costs more.

ATTENTION CHINESE MANUFACTURERS - STOP PUTTING THE QWERTY KEYBOARD ON THE BOTTOM OF THESE PC MEDIA REMOTE CONTROLS

These are all a very bad design:

These are all junk. If you buy one of these for your media center PC you will not be satisfied. They malfunction. The controls on the top would be great if not for the QWERTY keyboard on the bottom that creates problems.

What would be MUCH BETTER is something like this:

From the image above you can see that there is no annoying keyboard on the bottom of the remote. It can be handled, tipped, moved around, and any button on top pressed without activating keys on the bottom causing undesired results. Now, combine this design with the air mouse capability of being pointed to control the mouse cursor, and you will have an excellent Wireless Air Mouse multimedia remote. Come on Chinese designers!
