Magnum SemiRP Unturned Game Server: Election Rules for Cities and Villages in Russia

Although the Mayor of a town or village has freedom to govern as he or she feels is fit, the election process is regulated by a greater authority to ensure fairness for all citizens of the land.

📌 Elections are held when a citizen wishes to recall the current Mayor

📌 To initiate a recall election, first the citizen of the township must place campaign signs and placards in all parts of the town bearing his name

📌 The campaign process will last no less than 24 eq d/n cycles and is recommended to go for up to 48. (translates to hours IRL)

📌 Only registered home owners or business owners may vote for Mayor in the town or city.

📌 Registered home owners or businesses are required to have a placard on their home or business with their name on it and placed by the Mayor or approved city employee as their proof of residence.

📌 Only one registered resident name or owner to a business, home, or apartment may be registered. Others may dwell there or share the business, but only one of them is considered the primary owner and eligible to vote.

📌 The election itself lasts for 24 eg d/n cycles (24 hrs IRL) and must be publicly displayed. This is usually on the side of a large building

📌 The election must be moderated by a government official from another township or federal office.

📌 In a tie election the incumbent Mayor retains office.

📌 Registering new residents during the election (not including campaign) and allowing them to vote is election fraud.

📌 Paying citizens for their vote is election fraud. Threatening retaliation against a citizen is election fraud.

📌 A particular citizen may only campaign against the Mayor once every 30 x 24 eg d/n cycles (about once a month IRL).

📌 The departing mayor must assist in the transition process for the new Mayor or the departing mayor may be barred from ever holding office again.
